Rwandan group Ambassador’s of Christ choir is set to launch new album during this year’s Easter Festival to be held at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on March 31.
The Seventh-day Adventist church choir ministry, which affiliated to Remera SDA Church in Kigali Rwanda, is renowned for its sweet voices and melodious instruments.
It is one of the fastest growing ministries in East and Central Africa A statement issued by the festival’s organizing committee chairman, Alex Msama, quoted the Rwandan gospel music group as confirming that they will use the occasion to introduce a new album titled ‘Kaeni Macho’.
He said apart from the title track ‘Kaeni Macho’, other songs includes Mungu Wangu, Tugireurukundo, Ewe Ndugu, Tuombeane, Umwamini Yesu, Msalaba, Twawona, Okuswala and Huruma.
“The group, which is popularly known as Kwetu Pazuri, cannot wait to come to Tanzania and have confided to me that the album will be launched first here, which is really a blessing to Tanzanians,” Msama said. Msama said the Ambassador’s of Christ choir would also perform shows in other upcountry regions where the Easter Festival will be staged.
Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda is expected to be the guest of honour during the festival, with Kenya-based Congolese gospel ace Solomon Mukubwa leading a host of renowned international artistes that will be performing during the annual event.
