CWT faults Tanzania’s PM on teachers’ exclusion in census
One day after the Prime Minister, Mizengo Pinda explanation that the government has not excluded teachers in supervision of 2012 census to be held on 26Th this month, the President of Chama cha Walimu Tanzania (CWT), Gratian Mukoba has criticized the answer.

CWT President Gratian Mukoba speaking to media
In a press conference conducted at CWT Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Gratian Mukoba said the teachers’ Union has clear information about some teachers who were excluded from the supervision team alleged to be organizers of the strike.
“We have information about the teachers who were told to step out of seminar because they participated in the teachers’ strike. The government statement is not true.”
He urged teachers in Tanzania not to give up as it is the only way which will make them achieve their all rights.
“We said and we are insisting that all teachers should unite. It is the only way which can help us achieve our rights.” Mukoba said.
It should be remembered that, CWT via his Secretary General, Oluoch explained about allegations that some teachers were excluded in 2012 census intentionally.
This led to question from CHADEMA Special Sit MP who asked the PM yesterday and the Prime Minister replied that it is because the government wanted at least to give form four, form six and graduates opportunity to get money.
The answer seems to have made teachers come out and speak about the real information which they have gathered.
