FUBA locked out of Lugogo facility
The National Council of Sports (NCS) is no longer in charge of the indoor stadium located at Lugogo.

NCS general secretary Jasper Aligawesa
That privilege is now in the hands of MTN, the telecommunications behemoth.
This revelation came to light on Friday when local basketball governing authority FUBA were forbidden from having their league games at the facility by highranking MTN officials.
FUBA had been given clearance by NCS boss Jasper Aligawesa after paying a charge of sh1m and an insurance deposit on the stadium floor of sh300, 000.
Aligawesa had accepted but his word, it turns out, is no longer final.
According to a letter circulated to the media, Aligawesa wrote to MTN informing them of plans to host basketball games at the arena between July 27 and 29.
In an extraordinary response, MTN facilities manager Shila Mugisha wrote back to Aligawesa informing him that the games could not take place at the stadium.
She said, “Please adhere to avoid any embarrassing situations”.
In the letter dated 26 July 2012, Mugisha informs Aligawesa that “we cannot accept the event to take place as the requisite basketball hoops have not yet been put in place”
