The Commission’s Secretary, Assaa Rashid

The Commission’s Secretary, Assaa Rashid, said in a statement on Tuesday that the exercise would begin on Tanzania mainland on July 2 and Isles on July 30. The exercise will initially cover eight regions, which are Dodoma, Kagera, Pemba South, Unguja South, Manyara, Coast, Shinyanga and Tanga.

“In Dodoma, the commission will start in Bahi District and in Kagera work will start in Biharamulo district. In Manyara the commission will start collecting views in Mbulu district and in Coast region the exercise will commence in Mafia,” Rashid said in the statement.

According to the statement, in Shinyanga the exercise will start in Kahama, Lushoto in Tanga and South district in Unguja South. “Preparations for the task are complete and members of the commission and secretariat have been split into seven groups. Each group will work in one region except for one which will operate in both Unguja and Pemba South regions in Zanzibar,” the statement added.
