KCB bank supports Maternal and Child Health
KCB Tanzania has provided different equipment worth Tsh17 Mil to Temeke and Buguruni Hospitals in order to improve Maternal and Child health services.

Director of KCB Tanzania board, Zuhura Muro (R) handing over to Buguruni Hospital Medical Officer in charge, Dr Hawa Lesso one of the equipment ‘Incubator’ during the handover ceremony held this weekend.
During the handover event held in Weekend, The Director of bank’s board of KCB Tanzania, Zuhura Muro said they have decided to support health sector this year in order to reduce the number of deaths caused by lack of necessary equipment in hospitals.
“This year we have decided to support health sector in order to reduce Maternal and Child deaths which happen due to the lack of important equipment in most of hospitals.”
On the side of Temeke Hospital Medical Officer in charge, Dr Amani Malima said his hospital has been serving more patients than its capacity due to shortage of equipment.
“We receive so many mothers who come here for delivery than our ability, so this assistance will help us to tackle the challenge.”
Dr Hawa Lesso, Buguruni Hospital Medical Officer in charge thanked KCB Tanzania and said the equipment given will serve life of many pre-mature babies.
“We thank KCB because has heard our cry…we ask other Financial institutions to help different hospitals which face these challenges.”
Tanzanian health sector has still been faced by many challenges especially when it comes to important equipment needed for maternal and child health services.
