After so many surgeries, her face was totally changed and had a lot of swelling. She looked so different that her parents couldn’t even recognize her. But her obsession with surgeries didn’t end over there. She managed to find a doctor who agreed to put in silicon in her face, in fact provided her with some silicon injections that she could herself inject into her face.

When the given silicon supply finished, Hang ended up putting cooking oil into her own face that left it unrecognizable for even her own self.

Hang’s story was featured on Korean TV and people actually chipped in to help her get treated. She got her treatment but she isn’t the same person anymore. Hang is now 48 and her face is entirely different from what is was originally.

It’s sad to see how people are not willing to accept themselves as who they are and how they look and in attempts of looking different and beautiful, they try these plastic procedures.

Korean women are very diverse looking and can easily be differentiated from each other and these surgical procedures take away their individuality and distinctiveness. But the sad reality is that South Korea has the highest rate of plastic surgery per capita of anywhere in the world.
