Lowassa applauds African Barrick Gold for funding Minazi Mirefu Primary School

Tanzania’s former Prime Minister, Edward Lowassa has urged Tanzanian parents to invest in education and help their children to fulfill their dreams in different fields.

Former Prime Minister, Edward Lowassa addressing Kipawa residents and other people appeared in hand over of 500 desks to Minazi Mirefu Primary School in Dar es Salaam today.

Lowassa said helping Tanzanian children to get education can help them to resolve their own challenges in future such as unemployment challenge.

“If we help our children to get education they will have good opportunity of resolving unemployment challenge in future.”

Speaking today at Minazi Mirefu Primary School in Dar es Salaam, Edward Lowassa who is also Monduli Province MP congratulated African Barrick Gold Mine for handing over to Minazi Mirefu Primary School 500 desks in their efforts of improving education sector in Tanzania.

“This is the way of improving education so other stakeholders should also join hands the government.”

The event of handing over desks was also observed by Deputy Minister for Labour and Employment and Segerea MP, Dr Makongoro Mahanga, Governmental Relations Director of African Barrick Gold Mine, Mr Emmanuel Ole Naiko, Kipawa Ward Counselor, Boma Kaluwa and other officials.
