Pete Wentz likes to cultivate his hardcore punk image and it looks like he has found the perfect match in girlfriend Meagan Camper.

The couple looked distinctly grungy as they had lunch with Pete’s son Bronx today, with model Meagan sporting ripped denim shirts, un-brushed hair and black tights despite the 80 degree weather.

Grinning Pete, wearing a t-shirt with the word Kills on it, carried his curly haired three-year-old, who had a Spiderman mask around his neck, as the group left a gastropub in Studio City.

The model, who was also make-up free, recently posted on her Twitter page: ‘I need a hair brushing butler.’

Meagan, 23, has been dating Pete since September of last year and is regularly seen accompanying Pete and Bronx on outings.

Pete, 32, is quite the doting dad and admitted last year: ‘Having a child has definitely taught me patience on a whole new level, which is a really important lesson for me to have learned in life. I don’t know what my threshold was before but I realise that everything else isn’t so important.

‘At times when I would find myself being, like, ‘Ugh, why can’t they just get the Starbucks faster!’ now, I’ll just sit back and wait. It’s a really good thing for me to have learned. In this industry, you can definitely get caught up in thinking you are the most important person, no matter what.’

Since disbanding his emo-rock group Fall Out Boy, Pete has formed a new group called Black Cards and is acting as a judge for the Say it with Skype app campaign to find today’s ‘next big band.’

Skype appointed Pete along with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, and MTV music personality Matt Pinfield as judges to identify talent.

‘Music has the uncanny ability to reach and join people on multiple levels — time, language, and now with technology, there are no barriers.’ said Pete.

‘It was one of the very reasons why I wanted to participate in this program and work with Skype.’

Bronx, whose mother is Ashlee Simpson and aunt is new mum Jessica Simpson, loves being a ‘big cousin!’ according to his pop star mother.

‘He’s excited to teach her all his new things—when she’s ready,’ Ashlee told E! in a recent interview.

‘He’s like, “Wait a second, I’ll wait till she can talk,” or “I’m going to teach her how to talk.” Little things that you think you can do as a child—all the things my big sister taught me.’
