After a long gap, ex-flames Rihanna and Chris Brown will be seen together at the upcoming MTV Awards on September 6. Both have won nominations and are reportedly presenting the awards the same night.

Rihanna and Chris have worked together on a remix version of her song Birthday Cake early this year.

On Rihanna-Chris coming together, a source told HollywoodLife.com: “That’s obvious. Hell yeah, she would. [There isn't anything] she wouldn’t do for that [him]. She’d do just about anything for him”.

However since her in-depth Oprah interview, it seems that the Bajan star’s fans aren’t too pleased with what she had to say, especially when it comes to flaunting her love for Chris Brown on our TV screens.

In true Ri-Ri style, she’s since taken to Twitter to say basically, that she doesn’t care what they have to say! “Love your critics!!!!” she posted yesterday (August 21), alongside an excerpt from the book Starting Your Day Right by Joyce Meyer.

In the brave interview the star broke down crying as she discussed the assault three years ago and claimed she felt “protective” of her then boyfriend in the aftermath of the incident as fans and fellow stars turned on him.

The 24 year-old also confirmed that they were once again “close” and that he had regained her trust.

She said: “I still love him,” Rihanna told Oprah. “I think he’s the love of my life. We love each other and we probably always will,” she explained.

“That’s not anything we’re gonna try to change. It’s not something you can shut off if you’ve ever been in love. We built a trust again and that’s it.”
