Tanzania Govt to fire all teachers leaving their working stations without permission
Following the growing tendency of many teachers to leave their working stations without allowed by their employer (government), Deputy Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Hon Philipo Mulugo has warned all teachers to respect their contract.

Deputy Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Hon Philipo Mulugo
Mulugo said the government has started to take actions which aim to stop absentees’ tendency by dismissing all teachers who escape their responsibilities of teaching for further studies.
“I have started to make a follow up for all teachers who have behaviour like this teacher here who decided on his own to go for further studies without looking back effects he leaves to students.” Mulugo said looking disappointed.
He said the government does not disallow further studies, but the teachers to study should follow all procedures such as communicating with their employer and see how the teacher’s gap can be recovered.
“This is the right way to leave; we don’t leave when we want. You must think about your students. Inform your employer and you discuss how your gap will be filled by another teacher.”
Deputy Minister spoke that yesterday when he was addressing Chunya residents in his Mbeya Regional schools visit.
