The Ilala Municipal Council in collaboration with United States of America has jointly agreed to enhance English speaking to Ilala government schools as the way to help students acquire skills that will help them speak the language fluently.
The agreement was made between the Ilala Mayor, Hon. Jerry Slaa and the US representative, James Parkinson in Dar es Salaam recently when briefing journalists.
According to the Ilala Mayor, Jerry Silaa the agreement aiming at raising English speaking among Ilala government schools thus boosting English speaking competency to students.
On his side, the US representative James Parkinson said the US government will continue supporting education sector in developing countries as a way to eradicate poverty.
